Our objective in the nursery is to provide a safe and loving environment for young children while providing a service for their parents.
Please review these general guidelines. We hope that the information here will acquaint you with our nursery service.
- Nursery time will begin at 9:30 and will conclude 15 minutes after the service has ended.
- Nursery will be available for all Sunday 9:30 A.M. services and most special events
- Nursery volunteers will be in the room for the entire service in order to provide care if necessary. Children will not be allowed to leave the nursery room unless a parent/guardian or another adult comes to pick them up.
- Since our room is designed for the safety of babies and young children, we ask that any child age 4 and up either attend Worship Center or sit with parent/guardian in church. Children ages 4 and up should not be in the nursery room.
- Most nursery time will be spent in supervised, interactive play between volunteers and children. If a few of the children are 2 or older, volunteers may want to try a few simple songs, finger plays, or games
-
- When nursery time is over, please remember to have children help volunteers clean and straighten up the room.
-
- Sick children (illness beyond a runny nose) should not be in the nursery. Ask parents to keep their child with them in church if the child is not feeling well. (A child should not be in nursery if the child is vomiting, has diarrhea, or has an excessive cough for example).
- If a parent wishes to use the nursery room after normal scheduled times, that parent must stay in the nursery with the child.
- Volunteers: Please add your ideas and suggestions to this set of guidelines so that, TOGETHER, we may provide the young children and young guests visiting our church the best experience possible.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.
