Vacation Bible School – For one week each June our church is transformed as we host Vacation Bible School. Children ages 3 years to 5th grade are welcome. Older children are welcome to work as helpers for the young ones. If you don’t have time for a long term commitment, this one week may be your answer.
Worship Center (Sunday School) - St. Aidan’s provides Christian formation for children of all ages. Worship Center is our program for children 3 years through 2nd grade, and it meets at 9:30am on Sunday mornings during the school year. Any child is welcome—all they need to do is show up! We are always looking for adults to help serve as teachers and supervisors for Worship Center. We have a rotating schedule so teachers are usually only asked to serve once a month. No teaching experience is necessary. If you love Bible stories, you can teach them.
Upper Room (Middle/High School Students) - During the Upper Room sessions this year, students will continue to become familiar with the Liturgy, the Catechism, found in the Book of Common Prayer and Parables. The aim of the Upper Room is to encourage students through exposure and experience to learn words and actions for participation in worship and liturgy. The illustrations used in the Episcopal Children’s Curriculum are very appropriate. Clergy, churches, liturgical actions, text, and language are all used and portrayed as people in Episcopal settings are most likely to experience them. Selections from the Book of Common Prayer are incorporated into every lesson. Collects, prayers and thanksgivings are included in each session. Classes begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue through the first half of service.
